In paper and plastic production, Exacompta uses antimicrobial technology for a range of archiving and filing products to protect against bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

The material is treated with a biocide based on quaternary ammonium, an organic antimicrobial additive.

The additive is approved by FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and BFR 36 (Paper & Board for food contact), is not bio-accumulative and harmless to health.

The product is also often used in disinfectant gels.

On an untreated product, bacteria, viruses, etc. attach and multiply rapidly, facilitating contamination through any contact.

These daily used products cannot be disinfected by liquids or spray: it is therefore essential that these products are treated to prevent contamination.

The classification products that protect against bacteria and viruses are also ecological, FSC certified.
